Hello there! I’m Tigger! I am about 7-months-old and weigh 22 pounds. I am a lovable Shiba puppy looking for my forever home!
I’m a confident dog who loves to go on walks, play with toys, and play with other dogs! I can easily keep myself entertained with toys if no other pets are around. I am a smart boy who has already learned some commands and is ready to learn even more! I would love a family that has the time to do training with me so I can learn some new tricks.
I do pretty well in a crate when I need to be left alone. Sometimes I will bark a couple times but then I settle down and relax until I am let out.
I’m a sweet boy who is looking for a family that can keep up with my puppy energy. I’d love a fenced in yard or going for a few walks a day. I could be the only pet but wouldn’t mind having a dog sibling since I do well with other dogs. If you’re looking for a well rounded young dog to add to your family I hope you reach out to meet me!
• Currently being fostered outside of Chicago, IL •
IMPORTANT: If you are interested in Tigger, please follow all of the steps above. We are an all-volunteer rescue, so it may take time to receive a response. Please limit to one email per family - we thank you in advance for your patience!

AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.
Any one interested in adopting this dog must first complete an adoption application indicating the name of the dog(s) they are interested in learning more about. Once the adoption application is received, our adoption coordinator will contact you. You must respond to this email to set up your home visit and complete the approval process. The entire adoption process is outlined on our web site.
NOTE: Due to the breed's independent and prey driven nature, Shibas should ALWAYS be leashed whenever they are outside of a securely fenced area. In addition, many Shibas are door bolters and care should be taken around doors and other escape points.
