It’s that time! The Annual Chicago-area Shiba Inu Picnic will be here soon! Come and meet Shiba families, Shiba supporters, and “wannabe” Shiba adopters! There will be food, fun, rescue dogs, contests, laughs, demos, and door prizes to support our local rescue group, Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue.
Where: Lakewood Forest Preserve Shelter E - located off Route 176 (Liberty St) in Wauconda, IL.
When: Sunday, June 29, 2008 (RAIN OR SHINE!)
Time: 10am-2pm
Cost: $10.00 per Adult and $5.00 per Child under 12 (no charge for kids under 2). Lunch is included and admission will also help cover the rental fee for the Forest Preserve grove. Each adult admission receives a free door prize ticket! If you would like to purchase special raffle tickets for the Digital Camera Benefit for Mario & Luigi, please click here! This will be drawn at the picnic, but you need not be present to win!
Food: a fried chicken lunch with potato salad, potato wedges, soda/water, and rolls is included with your admission.
Special Guest: Debbie Henkes (Usui Reiki Master Teacher/Practitioner) will be offering 20 minute animal communication sessions throughout the day.

One free, special edition 2008 Picnic Bandana for each attending dog!
There is an off-leash dog park available for use at the forest preserve with a daily pass. Self-pay stations are located in the parking lot of each exercise area. A Daily Permit allows one day's access. Just fill out a form, drop a copy with your payment in the locked box and attach the completed permit to your vehicle's sun visor. Exact cash or check required. For more info, please see the park website.
Please feel free to bring a dessert to share. Everyone that attends will be able to share in dessert.
We also need people to help! Volunteer information will be available when you make your picnic reservation. And as always, there will be prizes at the picnic. See the sponsors who make our events possible!
