FAQ

1.) How can I donate something for the Auction?

To donate an item for the auction please fill out the following form. Please create one (1) form for every item donated, unless the donation is multiple donation of the same item. Print the form out and email us for the address to mail your auction items.

If you are in the Chicago-area and would like to bring your items to the June 29th Chicagoland Shiba Picnic, please email us. Chicago-area pickup may also be arranged.

2.) What kind of items are good auction items?

This year, due to space restraints, we would like to request that all personal donations be either dog and/or Shiba related. Donations can be for either animals or humans. Gift cards/certificates are always welcomed for any type of good or service.

It can be Shiba Inu related (or have an Asian theme):

-Clothing (t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts)

-Collectibles (signs, posters, figurines, pottery)

-Gifts (Door mats, jewelry, picture frames)

-Books

It can be dog related:

-Toys

-Water/food bowls

-Leashes, harnesses, collars

-Treats

Gift cards/Certificates

-Pet stores

-Travel, Restaurants

-Bookstores, Coffee Shops

-Anything! 

3.) Can auction items be used?

This year we are not accepting used items for the auction, but we will gladly accept used dog gear for our foster dogs!

4.) Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, The fair market value of the item donated can be used for tax purposes. A tax receipt will be sent to you once your auction item is received.

5.) When must my auction donation be received?

Please send or deliver your donation no later then **July 1st**. We need time to enter all the donations into the system before the start of the auction.
